This wide-open yet secluded site encouraged a plan with easy access to the grounds from nearly every corner of the first floor. The home makes a strong statement but does not overshadow the natural features of the site. The exterior is a traditional combination of stone and stucco with shingle and metal roofs that often extend down to the first floor eaves. Site-harvested stone and custom millwork crafted by the builder, gives the house a connection to its exact “place” unique to it and its occupants.
